Bob and I are now officially homeowners! The closing on our house was today. I think I signed my name more times today than I have since I've had this name (a little over a year now). My dad and Julia watched Sarah while we were at the closing. That was the longest I'd been away from her, so of course I worried. I wonder if she knew I was gone...

We then brought the two dressers for Sarah's room to the new house. My dad had been storing them in his garage for us, as we had no room in the condo for any additional furniture. The crib is at Bob's parents' and we will get that moved this weekend. Bob couldn't wait to start moving in, so he is currently on a trip to the house with his computer and a few other desk items, as well as some jumbo boxes of diapers that are still too big for Sarah. Tomorrow I'll probably be making a couple trips while Bob is working. Oh! Maybe I'll use our new video camera and make a tour and then post it for you guys to see.

I can't wait to live in our new house. Hopefully, all the major things will be moved by Sunday or Monday. I wonder how the cats will like the new place.. Will Sarah even know the difference? Hehe.

Just a quick house update. Here it is looking all nice and sided. Still waiting for garage doors though. And still many things to finish on the inside. But they have planted grass and shurbs outside and it's looking more and more ready to move in. Tomorrow night we will go and see it with the builder.

Ugh.. I am tired and so I am taking a break to sit here at the computer and rest for a bit. Let's see.. our house is coming along. We drove by on Sunday. The only (visible) new development is that the roof is shingled. I think they also poured the concrete in the garage. I can't remember if that was done last time. We didn't take a new pic because the only difference you could see was the roof and it was raining out when we drove by.

Last time we checked our mail, I had two things from the jury duty people. One letter was a confirmation that I have jury duty on August 10th. This was under my maiden name. The other letter was informing me that I had been selected for jury duty on September 17th. This one was under my married name. So, I had to call them and explain that I am only one person. The lady I talked to seemed to know exactly what she was doing and it was taken care of pretty quickly. I'll see if that is true if I get a cancellation letter for the September 17th date.

Things I have done today:
- Call jury duty people
- Podiatrist appointment
- Stop at eye doctor to order new contact lenses
- One load of towels
- One load of clothes
- Oil change & car wash
- Shopping at Walmart
- Deposit paycheck at bank

And maybe now I will nap...

Yesterday was our 1 year anniversary. We had lunch at Bob's parents' house and Tim and Laura joined us with Kadyn. Instead of getting each other gifts, we went shopping together for a video camera. I wanted to have one for after the baby is born. We also got a new mattress. Ours sags in the middle and is especially uncomfortable for me now. The new one will be delievered on Wednesday. I can't wait!

We also took a drive by our house. It is moving right along. The outside is all framed now. I'm not sure about the inside because we didn't go in, but I don't think they had done any wiring or plumbing yet. That'll probably be next. I do know that they were ordering siding because we had to pick out the color we wanted last week. It is going to be sage. Here are some pics of the progress so far.

Today we are going to a picnic at my dad's house. I made some cupcakes and Bob made a taco salad. Hopefully the weather stays nice.

Happy 4th of July!

I am so glad that summer is here. I guess it's technically been here for a while, but I just got done with teaching on June 26th and the masters class I was taking just ended yesterday. We've been having a rather rainy summer here in CT. That was fine with me while school was still going on. (Sunny weather makes it hot in the building and the students more restless.) I hope we start getting some more sunny days now though.

So, Bob and I are buying a house. Very exciting. It's a new construction and is scheduled to be done mid-October. It's a high ranch with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It's around 1800 square feet. It'll have a two car garage, so no more cleaning snow off my car. They actually broke ground and began digging the foundation last week. Bob and I are going to drive by every-so-often and take pics of the progress. Maybe I'll post them here once there is some progress to see.

I want to go swimming...

I just found out Bob has started Twitter'ing. Out of curiousity, how many of my LJ friends Twitter?

So, I though it was time for a non-pregnancy related update. (Although my head is killing me today so this won't be too long.) Valentine's Day was nice. I gave Bob a photography book that focused on digital photo editing. He went out early and picked up breakfast, which I had in bed. He then went off to get his oil changed and when he came back he had a gift for me. Hearts on Fire diamond earrings. We had looked at them in the store a few times, but I wasn't expecting them any time soon. I haven't taken them off since.

I have this week off from work. I would like to get some housecleaning done. Doing little bits at a time because everything makes me so darn tired. So, off I go...

So, it is now official. I am pregnant! Yay!! I had the first ultrasound and saw the heart beating. So cool! I made a separate journal to track all my pregnancy stuff. It's here: http://sprinkle925.livejournal.com/. If you are interested, feel free to friend it. The first ultrasound pic is up over there.

And now I must sleep!

So.. I got a new car today!!!

It is a Mazda6 i Grand Touring in Black Cherry Matallic. I would have some pics of it to add, but it's been snowing since right when we left the dealer and now it's all dark and covered in snow. So, I'll get some as soon as it's cleared up.

This is the first car I've picked out for myself. The Hyundai was chosen by Mom. I am both very excited and a little nervous.

I wish it wasn't so cold. I want to go sit in it and play with things. *sigh*
